A warm welcome to Groby Parish Council Website. In launching this site we have fulfilled one of the Council's key priorities to provide the Community with information about our services and a gateway for receiving your comments and concerns. You can read what we are doing through our minutes and news page and of course use the "contact us" section if there is anything we can do for you. The role of the Parish is explained elsewhere in the website but briefly, we believe we are here to work on your behalf with the many agencies providing services in our Area.

We undertake projects and schemes that local people want and are willing to pay for which are in addition to existing Hinckley & Bosworth Borough Council (HBBC) service provision; we act as a conduit with HBBC commenting on their proposals and raising concerns expressed by our parishioners; we act as facilitators by bringing together Public, Private and voluntary organizations to deliver improved services.

We are able to offer these services by setting an annual precept, which is collected by HBBC on our behalf as part of your council tax bill. Our promise is to keep this affordable and as low as possible. What you received for your money in 2011/12 can be found in the Councils Annual Return.
