TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER:- A50 LEICESTER ROAD, MARKFIELD / NEWTOWN LINFORD

Leicestershire County Council Highways has agreed to a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order at the above location.

Temporary overnight road closures, 20:00 till 06:00 each night, are required on the A50 commencing on 22nd November 2022. The works will be undertaken in 3 phases as follows: -

• Phase 1 – closure, M1 bound only, between Fieldhead and M1 J22 commencing on 22nd November for 2 nights

. • Phase 2 – closure, Leicester Bound only, between M1 J22 and Fieldhead on 24 th November for 2 nights.

• Phase 3 – closure, Leicester Bound only, between M1 J22 and Fieldhead on 28th November for 1 night.

When required, the slip roads Off/On the A50 from/to Whitwick Road will be closed. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order will be implemented for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council undertake carriageway patching works.

The proposed alternative diversion routes will be signed on site.
