Rights of Way - General Information
The Leicestershire countryside has a wonderful network of footpaths, bridleways & byways for you to explore and enjoy. The network within the county extends to 3000 kilometres and offers some of the best walking and riding in the country thanks to an extensive waymarking programme. If you want a short circular stroll or embark on a 100 mile long distance path, you'll find it in Leicestershire. As well as looking after the Rights of Way network the County Council also produces a number of leaflets and booklets to help guide your way. All of the promoted routes have been signed and waymarked.
